Voters’ Meeting Update

Dear Holy Cross Family,

At Wednesday evening’s Annual Voters' Meeting, the congregation received a third-quarter financial update, elected Davis Deane, Kent Doerffler, and John Speckhard to fill Board of Lay Leaders vacancies, and voted to extend a Divine Call to Rev. Chad Van Meter as Senior Pastor. We ask that you continue to keep Pastor Van Meter, his family, and Holy Cross in your prayers as he seeks God’s guidance in this decision.

Wednesday night was an important moment in the life of our congregation. It was also incredibly encouraging to witness what was, for many of us, the largest turnout we have ever seen for a voters meeting. Seeing that level of engagement, participation, and commitment from our congregation was truly meaningful. Beyond the business of the evening, it was a powerful reminder that Holy Cross is a church family deeply invested in its future and committed to prayerfully walking through important decisions together. We are grateful for the thoughtful involvement, care, and dedication shown throughout this process.

As we move forward, this is an opportunity for all of us to continue strengthening our congregation through prayer, encouragement, and unity. While there is always important work ahead in the life of any church, we trust that God continues to guide Holy Cross.
