God’s Blessings

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

For fifteen years, God has blessed me with the privilege of serving you through the ministry of Holy Cross. These years have truly been the capstone of a 46-year journey, and why I titled my final sermon “The Romance of the Ministry.” What we have shared has indeed been a love story between pastor and people.

Janet and I are overwhelmed by the warmth shown before, during, and after the Retirement Service on September 14. Your words, embraces, and generosity will remain with us always. As the Wizard of Oz said to the Tin Man, “A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others.” By that measure, our hearts overflow with gratitude and praise to God for you!  

Thank you for the privilege of walking with you through the moments of your lives and pointing you to the Cross. We love you dearly and pray that God richly blesses you and all that you do in His name.
