Come Be Equipped
Holy Cross will once again start our Equipping Hour classes on Sundays between services at 9:30 am, beginning on Sept. 21. We have several choices for you to choose from and grow in your faith.
Kidwise (Cafeteria): Join Akasha Kinley and volunteers as they teach your children ages 4 - 5th grade Biblical truths.
Teens Class (Youth Ctr): We're starting a new class (8 weeks) for all youth 6th grade and older through age 19. Deaconess Stephanie Kinley will led teens through Pr. Matthew Richard's book, Will the Real Church Please Stand Up?, to follow a family's search for a church home. Along the way, we'll discover why some churches—even with good intentions—are missing the core parts of our faith. This isn’t just about the book; it's about diving into our faith. We will connect the story to Scripture and our Lutheran Catechism in a way that’s relevant and easy to understand. Join us as we discover why the gifts God gives us in His Church are the only ones that truly matter.
Creating Shadow Boxes of a Faithful God (Art Room): Join Debbie Hesterman as you artistically create your own shadow box that fills with items that represent how God has been faithful to you. This is a four week long class.
Luther's Small Catechism: An Introduction/Refresher (School Library): Join Pr. Daniel Kinley as he takes you back to the basics. Come with us on an eight-week journey through one of the foundational documents of the Lutheran Church, Luther's Small Catechism. There will be small catechisms with explanation (2017 Edition) available for you if needed.
