Comfort Dog Ministry

Holy Cross has a Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Dog, named Jared. Comfort Dogs bring compassion during times of tragedies & crisis, to people in the hospital & nursing homes and to veterans & active military in a variety of ways. Please watch the video below for an update from the past year, which was also shown in services on the weekend of July 12-14 in celebration of Jared’s birthday.

Jared is available after worship services on Saturday & Sundays in the Welcome Center. Jared’s handlers are trying creative ways to show a caring heart to others.
