HopeChest Speaker

On Children’s HopeChest Launch weekend, Feb. 21-23, Holy Cross will have a special speaker during the usual Equipping Hour on Sunday @ 9:30 am in the school library. Everyone is welcome to join us as we welcome Orion Netsanet from Children’s HopeChest.

Orion Netsanet considers it his mission and privilege to amplify and elevate the voice of the vulnerable. As a Strategic Partnership Director at Children’s HopeChest, he does this through speaking with individuals who are also passionate about advocating for vulnerable children, families and communities around the world. He attended Michigan State University, where he studied political science and pre-law. For Orion, a perfect day off work would be spent on the beach or by the lake with his wife and four-legged kid, reading a good book, kayaking, great conversations and exploring. He is an Ethiopian and African history buff and is involved with many civic and community groups including being a leader of the Ethiopian Community of Michigan. If he could choose any superpower, it would be teleportation!
