Advent Mission Outreach

This year our Advent Mission Outreach will be going to make a Christ-like difference in the following three ways: 

1) Community Food Assistance - This money will go in part to our public school Christmas Outreach at Bloomingdale Elementary. We bless needy students there with much needed food for Christmas break. This fund will also go toward helping our own Holy Cross families dealing with food insecurities.  

2) Indiana SGO - monies donated here go directly to the Indiana Lutheran SGO (NOT to Holy Cross), but these funds do go directly toward benefiting Holy Cross school students (95 students received SGO funds this school year, totaling $78,550!). In order to receive the incredible Indiana state tax credit (reduces your tax liability by half of what you give), donations should go directly to the SGO: lutheransgo.org/donate.

3) Children's HopeChest in Guatemala - monies collected here will go directly toward supporting our international children's Care Point in Chicacao, Guatemala. In its first phase this care point will focus on meeting the fundamental needs of children, including nutrition, healthcare, safety, education, and discipleship, while also introducing economic initiatives that could impact family incomes for generations.  Learn more about this organization on their website hopechest.org/guatemala/.

You are welcome to donate towards Community Food Assistance and to Children’s HopeChest through Holy Cross’ giving page or with an Advent Outreach envelope (available in Welcome Ctr), but SGO needs to be directly through their site.
