FOCUS

Holy Cross is accredited by the National Lutheran School Association and the state of Indiana. We focus our religion instruction on the Bible and our core curriculum is aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards. We have weekly chapels where students come together to worship and praise our great God!

INSTRUCTION

Teachers use a variety of strategies to instruct students and help them be successful in their learning. We focus on nurturing and developing the whole child, emphasizing strong character development. Preschool through 5th Grade are all self contained classrooms. 6th Grade students change classes between two teachers. 7th and 8th grade students rotate between four teachers. All students have an opportunity to explore talents and skills in art, music, PE, and technology.  We have a Resource Room that serves students in grades K-8. Students are taught at their level to build and reinforce skills.

FIELD TRIPS & PROJECTS

All grade levels take field trips throughout the year to enhance their learning and broaden their horizons.  Our 6th graders attend Camp Lutherhaven in the fall for a 3 day/2 night outdoor education experience.  The 8th graders travel to Washington, DC in the spring for a week-long trip.

Our students regularly participate in service projects throughout the year to be Christ’s hands and feet in the Fort Wayne community and beyond!

“My middle child is someone who hated school, didn’t do very well, and would cry almost every night about it. I watched Holy Cross work with him and find different ways of learning, and it’s turned him into a child that is so much happier. He is excelling now. He is doing great. He actually loves school.”

SCHEDULE A TOUR?

With us, partnership starts from the very beginning by touring with us to get a feel for what your child can expect if they enroll at Holy Cross. After the tour, we sit down with you and your child to process any additional thoughts or questions you may have before applying.
