Mental Health Presentation
FaithNet is the mental health outreach program of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Learn how simple acts of caring can create hope for people living with the effects of mental illness and their family members. On Thursday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m., Holy Cross will host a FaithNet presentation where presenters will share stories of their experiences and provide information as we seek to promote mental wellness and reduce the stigma around mental illness.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Mental health is a part of everyone’s overall health. In the United States, almost half of all adults will experience a mental illness during their lifetime. Mental illnesses are treatable and are more common than cancer, diabetes, heart disease or arthritis. If you have symptoms of mental health issues such as depression or anxiety, talk to your doctor. If you or someone you love is looking for support, information or resources, go to www.lookupindiana.org, inspired by The Lutheran Foundation.
