Thank You James Jackson & Garland Kimble

Two of our maintenance personnel are retiring from full-time service from Holy Cross Church and School. Garland Kimble, facilities manager, and James Jackson, lead night custodian, are retiring after 23 and 20 years of experience, respectively. Garland will complete his full-time service on February 1st and James finished on January 1st. Both are continuing in a part-time capacity.

Garland and James will be remembered for the ways they kept things running smoothly and contributed to the school and church’s maintenance.

“James always had a smile and had time for the kids. He started at 3:00 and was here when they were leaving and would talk to them,” Mark Lange, executive director, stated. “Garland was passionate about what he does. He took great pride in keeping both the church and school safe and well kept. He was amazingly dedicated.”

The students had a chance to recognize their dedication in an assembly on January 20th. “Forty three years of combined experience—you don’t see that today,” Mark adds.

The staff and students of Holy Cross wish to thank James and Garland for their dedication and service. The church and school will hold a reception on Wednesday, February 8th from 4:00-5:00 pm in the Welcome Center. Join us in saying thank you to James and Garland.
