Christmas Family Project
Dear Holy Cross Family,
I know you are thinking, “WHAT?” It is only the first week of November!
Yes, we know it seems a little early to be thinking of Christmas, but that is what we have been doing this last month. We have started the process of collecting items for the 8 Christmas families our school has adopted this year!
As a faculty, we would like to take a moment to thank you for the generous donations of food and cleaning supplies that you have sent in with your children this past month. We know these families will appreciate each and every item you have donated!
Now, our special school service project is ready for the next step. As our Mega Faith Families, we will be spending the next few weeks collecting special items for the members of our Christmas families. The Christmas bureau asks that each family member receive a new outfit and small gift for Christmas. The families have given us a list of items that they need and want. We hope to collect those items this month.
An e-mail was sent out with a link to a signup genius system; somewhat like the system we used for parent teacher conferences. Please look over the list and sign up for one item on the list that you and your child would like to provide for their special family. These can be sent in anytime this month. Please be sure to label the bag with the number of your child’s mega family on it. Please do not wrap your items.
We would like all of the items to be turned into school by Monday, November 21st. Then, as a whole school, we will take a morning the following week to wrap and box up all of the gifts for our families, labeling them for the correct person in our families.
We are excited to share Christ’s love with these families as we continue His mission of going out into the world and making disciples in His name!
