In 1946, a group of visionary Christians
had the faith to embark on a remarkable journey. They believed
that a Christian school would serve as a powerful mission of the
love of Jesus Christ. Holy Cross Lutheran School opened its doors
to 52 students in the fall of 1946. By 1948, enrollment had more
than doubled to 112 students, and five additional classrooms plus
a library were built. A gymnasium and cafeteria were added in
1965. Today, Holy Cross has an enrollment of nearly 370 students,
ranging from pre-school to eighth grade.
